1. How long does the window tinting process take?

For full tinting (all sides and back), expect it to take about 3 to 4 hours. For just the front two windows, it usually takes 1 to 2 hours.

We don’t cut corners. We follow every step needed to ensure a high-quality installation with clean lines, no bubbles, and long-lasting performance.

2. What are the legal tint limits in Virginia?

In Virginia, tint laws are strict but clear:

• Front side windows: Must allow at least 50% of light in
• Rear side windows: Must allow at least 35% of light in
• Rear windshield: Must allow at least 35% of light in
• Front windshield: You’re allowed a strip (sun strip) along the top 5 inches or above the AS-1 line

All vehicles must also have dual side mirrors if the rear window is tinted below the legal threshold.

3. Can I tint my front windshield?

Virginia law does not allow full front windshield tint unless you have a medical exemption, except for a tint strip. You can install a non-reflective strip that’s 5 inches or ends at the AS-1 line (whichever comes first).

4. How long does it take window tint to fully cure?

While you can drive your car right after tinting, the film takes 3 to 5 days to fully cure. In colder weather or with ceramic films, it may take up to 2 weeks. You may notice haziness or small bubbles during this time—this is normal!

5. What type of film is best for Hampton & Newport News weather?

10. What is the difference between the tint types?

• Standard Dyed Film: Great for privacy and blocking UV rays. Affordable and stylish.

• Ceramic Films: Superior in every way—rejects  IR heat, lasts longer, won’t interfere with electronics.

11. How do you apply car window tinting correctly?

The truth? DIY tint rarely looks professional. It’s often more expensive in the long run.

We use computer-cut precision tools, clean prep, and experienced hands to make sure your tint is flawless.

12. Does the tint shade affect the price?

Not with us! Whether you choose 5%, 20%, or 50%, the price stays the same. What matters is the type of film, not the shade.

13. How much do you charge for window tinting?

We currently don’t offer reflective or colored tints—but let us know if it’s something you’d like to see in the future!

18. Can you install tint I provide?

No, we only install our own Autobahn-certified film to ensure quality and warranty coverage.
